ABOUT THE TEAM

Competa Millman began operating from a hostel room at the Chiromo Campus of the University of Nairobi in early 2010. Originally working under the name BTI Millman, Dunstan Machoka teamed up with Steve Maina and Fred Onyango to develop custom web and mobile solutions for the Kenyan market. Committed to a culture of collaboration and with a strong desire to build ways of making a positive impact on society into our business model, we were one of the first African companies to join the Fair Trade Software Foundation in 2011, partnering with Competa IT BV in the Netherlands. The relationship proved fruitful, so in 2017 Competa acquired a stake in the company and the name was changed to Competa Millman. Competa Millman continues to grow, meeting the increasingly complex needs of more and more customers from all over the world. In 2019, the Millman Group of Companies was formed to sell off-the-shelf versions of our enterprise software solutions and intellectual properties targeting banking, insurance, medical and logistics industries.
